I stayed at the Hampton in Elizabethtown, KY for one night, and while the room looked clean, it had a very foul odor — a mix of smelly socks and musk. Since it was just an overnight stay, I didn’t want to make a big fuss, but the smell was strong enough that I ended up spraying some Dove deodorant just to make it through the night. The room could definitely use an upgrade or at least a deep refresh. On the positive side, the breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly, which I really appreciated. With a little attention to the rooms, this could easily be a much better stay. PS - Hampton/Hilton is my family’s favorite hotel, we are frequent guess at either one of them, if we are traveling, unless another Hotel is suggested!

Place was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Mattie, who checked us in, was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. This morning, although staff was friendly, it was extremly disappointing. Had to wait over 20 minutes for breakfast items and even had to wait for coffee. When, we went to check out, there was no one at the desk to check out with. A simple "thank you" and "safe travels" goes A LONG way.

Perfect location if you're on Highway 65. Everything was fine except the washroom. The floor and the bathtub are extremely slippery and dangerous when wet.

This hotel is an older hotel BUT it is being maintained. Some of the rooms fixtures are tired and show some wear but it was a very clean hotel with a really nice breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for a short weekend trip, checking in on Friday night (October 3rd) and checking out on Sunday. Overall, the hotel was decent. I had a first-floor room with high ceilings, which was a nice touch. The room itself appeared clean, though it had a noticeable musky odor that affected the overall feel of the space. While it wasn’t the worst in terms of cleanliness, the smell definitely took away from the experience. What really stood out, however, was the kindness and dedication of the breakfast staff. Huge shoutout to the man and woman working in the breakfast area—they were both absolutely exceptional. The woman even made a special trip to get apple juice and brought it out in a pitcher since the machine was out. That small but incredibly thoughtful gesture went above and beyond. The gentleman cooking and managing the food area was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and clearly cared about the guests' experience. Unfortunately, I did have a negative encounter with one of the front desk staff on Saturday. It seemed she may have been brought in from another property to assist, but she came off as rude and clearly didn’t want to be there. It was a stark contrast to the rest of the team and left a poor impression. If temporary staff are going to be brought in, I’d recommend ensuring they meet the same standard of hospitality as the regular team. Overall, my stay was okay—elevated by the excellent breakfast team, but brought down by the room odor and one unpleasant staff interaction.

We stopped here overnight because of the winter storm. No time to research, we just needed to get off the road. We were greeted at the front desk by Sharon. Our experience was outstanding from that moment on. She was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Everything around us was closed due to the weather, so nowhere to get dinner. We went down to the lobby with our car snacks, uno, and put Sunday football on. Sharon offered us a frozen meal from the "vending" area. We felt like we were welcomed into someone's home. The next morning we had their free breakfast. The woman in charge of breakfast, I wish I remembered her name, was also amazing. She said she normally doesn't work weekends. There were eggs, potatoes, bacon, assorted breads & bagels, pastries, make your own waffles, biscuits, oatmeal, and so on. This hotel is close to Fort Knox. If you need a clean, comfortable place to stay that makes you feel welcome, I highly recommend. Also dog friendly.

Stayed in one room on first part of my trip. Stayed in a different room on way back. TV set up was totally different second trip...no friendly "Hilton Honors greeting," no access to Netflix, etc. Texted the staff, no response. Too tired to deal with it. Bathroom fixtures on 2nd trip also spewed water.
